Facilities Maintenance Technician

JOB OVERVIEW:

As the Facilities Maintenance Technician, you will perform custodial duties and grounds maintenance to maintain the cleanliness of the buildings, amenities, and surrounding grounds of Val Vista Lakes.
Compensation:$20 per hour
FirstService Residential will compensate the successful candidate in accordance with the posted range. The salary or wage paid to the successful candidate will be commensurate with experience, education, and specific job responsibilities. For positions designated at a client’s property, the salary or wage will also be premised upon the client’s directive. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future.

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

• Detail oriented
• Outstanding communication skills
• Exceptional interpersonal skills resulting in strong working relationships
• Able to work collaboratively and cooperatively
• Able to follow oral and written directions, keep accurate records, fill out logs and journals, and perform administrative operational functions.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

• One (1) year experience of maintenance experience preferred
• Janitorial or custodial work is highly preferred
• Highschool Diploma or equivalent is preferred

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Stand, sit, walk for extended periods of time may be required
• Able to safely lift up to 40-50 pounds following appropriate safety procedures

  Work Hours:Monday - Friday; 5:00a - 1:30p

• Regularly inspect grounds to identify areas requiring maintenance or repair
• Ensure pools are ready daily by removing pool cover in the morning and organizing pool furniture
• Perform minor maintenance repairs such as replacing light fixtures, painting, plumbing etc.
• Maintain the decks and sidewalks by sweeping, scrubbing, and power washing
• Perform general cleaning duties around common areas
• Keep pool area clean of any debris
• Maintain community lagoon pool sand, raking, cleaning and picking up surrounding grounds
• Set up, arrange and remove decorations for on site events and meetings
• Empty and clean trash receptacles as needed
• Clean, sanitize and restrooms
• Ensure grounds are clean and orderly
