Description:
JOB DESCRIPTION
Our client is an IT service company that is expanding its business. They are actively looking for a Facilities Management Technician to join the team. The purpose of this role is to manage and oversee daily operations at the client’s data centre sites.
【 What you will be doing 】
- Oversee and manage facility operations in assigned data centres. (client’s site)
- Conduct regular physical/visual inspections of equipment and facilities.
- Collaborate with Data Center Engineers (DCE) to develop procedures and risk analyses.
- Liaise with Data Center (DC) Providers for Mechanical & Electrical maintenance affecting Data Halls.
- Collate and review Maintenance Schedules, ensuring minimal interference during Block Days.
- Review and manage documents from DC Providers for maintenance activities (MOP, RA, etc.).
- Track and record facility maintenance activities and change requests.
- Raise and manage Change Management requests for all maintenance servicing.
- Provide onsite support during scheduled maintenance/change events.
- Offer regular progress reporting and develop continuous improvement capabilities.
- Respond to facilities crises (power outages, HVAC outages, fire alarms, security concerns).
- Provide after-business-hours support based on an on-call schedule.
- Perform any other duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENT
【 What they are looking for 】
- 1-3 years of experience in Data Centre facilities management and operations.
- Good understanding and knowledge of Data Centre infrastructure (electrical and mechanical systems, HVAC, power outages, fire alarms, etc)
- Ability to respond to issues and provide timely progress updates, and escalations.
- Experience working in a large-scale critical environment
- Analytical skills with a strong sense of urgency.
An agile mindset with the right attitude and ability to think outside of the box
