Description:
Catholic Charities is seeking a hands-on Maintenance Manager to manage all aspects of the corporate office and programs.
- Oversees the operations of the corporate office buildings and parking lots, including the maintenance staff, mail pickup and delivery, and the switchboard/receptionist functions.
- Ensures that the building and its machines are properly maintained, serviced, and fully operational, including copy machines, HVAC, alarm systems, all utilities, sanitation, and pest control.
- Oversees timely mail pick-up and delivery on a daily basis.
- Ensures proper set up for meetings, including configuring chairs, audio/visual equipment, and clean up.
- Installs, maintains, and repairs machinery, equipment, physical structures, and pipe and electrical systems in buildings operated by Catholic Charities.
- Dismantles defective machines and equipment and installs new or ordered parts.
- Responsible for ensuring that all facilities and systems are operated in a safe and efficient manner.
- Knowledge and experience working with air conditioning and heating systems.
- Assembles and maintains pipe systems and repairs and replaces gauges, valves, faucets, washers, and related equipment.
- Ensures that the building, parking lot and the general surrounding area are kept cleaned, maintained, and in good repair.
- Supervises the employees in the department supplies and materials.
- Produces written building rules and procedures for all occupants.
- Assists safety coordinator in identifying unsafe building conditions and suggest effective remedies.
- Oversees facility maintenance and construction projects from concept design through occupancy certification.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- BA/BS in facilities management, engineering or related field preferred or five to seven years of experience.
- Carpentry, plumbing, electrical and HVAC systems.
- Proven experience as a facilities manager or relevant position.
- Must possess comprehensive knowledge of electrical and plumbing maintenance.
- Maintenance Certification a plus but not required.
- Good management and leadership skills Excellent communication skills.
- Able to lift at least 50 lbs.
- Able to Occasionally kneel, crouch, crawl and climb.
- Valid CA Driver’s License, Clean Driving Record and Proof of Insurance.
- Good management and leadership skills.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office Programs.
