Founded in 1973, Kirmac Collision & Autoglass’ team members provide excellent customer service and quality repairs and turn the unfortunate situation of having an accident into a positive, lasting impression for our customers while supporting B.C Children’s hospital through Kirmac Cares for Kids. Kirmac currently operates 18 locations across the Lower Mainland and Fraser Valley.

Job Title: Facilities Manager

Kirmac has been helping people get back on the road for 50 years. We care about our image and want our facilities to stay first-class. We are seeking a facilities maintenance worker to help keep our state-of-the-art facilities straight and narrow.

Responsibilities

  • Be the main point of contact for maintenance and repairs at all twenty locations throughout the lower mainland, be willing to work on the road between various locations.
  • Diagnose problems and conduct general repair duties throughout our various shop locations including but not limited to:
  • Cleaning and maintaining spray booths.
  • Change filters, clean ducts, replace belts, reapply protective coating.
  • Minor electrical repairs
  • Minor plumbing repairs
  • Minor drywall repairs
  • General building upkeep including caulking, interior and exterior painting, and other basic carpentry and light mill work.
  • Pressure washing and cleaning of exteriors, signage, and parking lots.
  • Other basic items such as locks, doors, and basic facilities equipment.
  • Conduct preventative maintenance.
  • Source, contact, schedule and liaise with external contractors to do larger repairs and equipment maintenance as needed.
  • Be reachable to attend emergency repair situations.
  • Comply with safety regulations and ensure that safety equipment in shop locations is up to date, accessible and maintained.
  • Make recommendations for repairs, updates or changes to buildings and work areas that may be needed, then source, plan, and budget for the repairs to be completed.
  • Aid in initial set up and prep work of opening new store locations.
  • Willingness to assist/ conduct a variety of project types.
  • Stay up to date with the latest repair methods.

Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in the operation and maintenance of buildings
  • Trades knowledge and experience is an asset.
  • Forklift and scissor lift experience and certification.
  • Organized and able to self-manage duties/ work independently.
  • Superb work references
  • Willingness to work hard and help wherever required.
  • Valid Driver’s License
  • Willingness to work between various company locations across the lower mainland.
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds and capable of manual labor that includes lifting, bending and reaching.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
