MŌ TĒNEI TŪRANGA MAHI | ABOUT THE ROLE

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Facilities Manager to oversee the maintenance and operations of our facilities. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all building systems, services, and processes are running smoothly and efficiently, providing a safe and productive environment for staff, students and visitors.
The appointing salary for this role will be between $120,000, and $130,000, dependent on skills and experience.

The is based in our Facilities Manger | Te Pūkenga reporting to the Regional Property Manager and will be responsible for:

  • To develop, manage, review, and deliver the key outputs and outcomes of Wintec’s Infrastructure & Assets ensuring the major assets are sustained at a high level. The person in this role is responsible for managing ‘special projects’ related to the enhancement of these assets, ensuring readiness for delivery.
  • To provide mentoring and guidance to the facilities team.
  • To ensure that all new and existing projects are being developed through a project framework working with the Regional Property Manager, and are subject to the required process level, business case and investment appraisal procedures ensuring that best value is achieved.

TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THIS ROLE YOU WILL HAVE:

  • 10+ years of business experience with evidence of strong performance and career progression.
  • Undergraduate degree level or above in a relevant area such as business or management, engineering, project management, asset, or facilities management
  • Excellent understanding of procurement, contract management and contractor management and principles
  • Advanced knowledge of a large portfolio of assets and infrastructure
  • Demonstrated ability to work with colleagues to resolve issues and meet agreed outcomes
