  • At least 5 years’ experience in a commercial property, facility or office management role, including lease and landlord management and engagement with third parties.
  • Excellent communication skills in written and verbal forms – able to deal with a wide range of senior stakeholders and team members.
  • Effective persuasion and influencing skills – able to communicate your viewpoints and have an ability to persuade and influence others.
  • Excellent project management skills – ability to establish a course of action and accomplish specific goals.
  • Experience leading high-performing teams with a view to collaborating for continuous improvement, while considering the day-to-day needs of the team.
  • Highly client focused – a high priority is allocated to anticipating the needs of our clients and ensuring their satisfaction with their experience whilst visiting and using our facilities.
  • Self-motivated and organised with a strong attention to detail.
  • Respond to requests in a professional, customer friendly and timely manner.
  • An ability to escalate issues appropriately and keeping stakeholders and leadership informed.
  • Maintain confidentiality and discretion when managing sensitive situations and/or information.

    Deloitte Aotearoa New Zealand is looking for a Facilities/Office Manager to join our Tāmaki-makau-rau / Auckland team.

THE KEY FUNCTION OF THIS ROLE INCLUDES:

  • Responsibility and day to day operational support of our Auckland and Wellington facilities and office services teams, including roles in office services, reception and active management of the outsourced catering teams to ensure they are well supported at Deloitte.
  • Responsibility for, and managing key relationships of, any contracted services in facilities and office services such as security, cleaning, building maintenance, carparking, mail/courier, photocopying, archived information, to ensure any property, maintenance or office concerns are appropriately dealt with.
  • Managing and planning all office layout moves and changes within the business – e.g. moving or adding desks or making fit-out changes to the office spaces.
  • Provide advice and support to regional offices to ensure that service levels are consistent across the country. This includes areas such as security, cleaning, mail/courier, photocopying, archived information and other major office services.
  • Undertakes financial and budgetary planning for Auckland and Wellington, including day to day spend responsibility, as well as accurate and timely invoice approvals.
  • Uses commercial skills to manage lease renewals and liaison with our landlords relating to any upcoming lease changes (including with carpark suppliers) or building maintenance requirements driven by the landlord.
