EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND SPECIALIZED SKILLS

Requires a bachelor’s degree in accounting, business, engineering, architecture, construction management, public administration, or related field with a minimum of one (1) year related experience in project management or construction administration. Strong technical writing skills and budget management skills required. General administrative and funding knowledge relative to the State of Maryland and general knowledge of building construction and renovation strongly preferred. Technical knowledge of construction and trades highly desirable. Strong organizational, problem solving, time-management, and team collaboration skills required.

• Knowledge of various software programs used in property or construction management
• Technical writing skills

• General knowledge of state/federal safety codes
• General knowledge of state/local building codes
• General knowledge of state/local facilities funding processes preferred
• General knowledge of enterprise risk management
• Demonstrated excellent customer service skills
• Demonstrated attention to detail without losing focus on the big picture for budget management & project planning

Responsible for the business and project management of major state and locally funded capital renovations and new construction of facilities on
college-owned grounds. Responsible for coordinating risk management efforts of the individual area risk managers.
