Here at Hitachi Rail, we have a unique and exciting opportunity for an experienced Facilities Project Manager to join our Facilities and Maintenance division. As the Facilities Project Manager you will be responsible for
the management, governance and delivery of the Facilities Improvement Projects. Working with all business areas including Operations Delivery, Servicing Spine Team, Finance, Procurement, Contract Managers, Materials and Facilities teams to deliver the required improvements for the business.
The Facilities Project Manager will be accountable for numerous project at one time, across all of our UK depots therefore the willingness and ability to travel frequently is essential in this role. The successful candidate will have a background in rail and understand fuel management at a depot level and how this can affect and influence project. You will hold regular meetings with stakeholders to ensure progress is being achieved.
Projects could include but are not limited to:
- Energy Monitoring & Sustainability Work Streams
- Drainage, Discharge License Emergency Discharge Control (Bladder Valve Installation)
- Track side and Maintenance Depot Safety Improvements
- Maintenance Depot lease Management and legal obligations
- Outstation Asset Management
- Service Spine (Standards and Methodology)
- MMS Coding Structures, data analysis and KPI Reporting
- Railway bias Mechanical and Electric improve projects
Other role responsibilities include:
- Work with all Business stakeholders including Operations Delivery heads, Engineering teams, Finance, Procurement, Contract Managers, Legal team, Materials and Facilities teams to deliver the required improvements for the business.
- Production of a fully linked Microsoft Project Plan.
- Responsible for the Management, Governance and Delivery of the TMC improvement project Plan without compromise to time, cost and quality.
- Regular co-ordination of weekly / monthly meetings with internal & external, monthly project slide packs to the senior management team & stakeholder groups.
