Salary: £22,500 - £26,400
Location: Cambridge
Contract: 12 months fixed-term, Shift pattern applicable, one week early (06:00 -14:00), one week late(12:00 - 20:00),

Responsibilities:
ABOUT THE ROLE
As a Facilities Technician you will be at the heart of the action, working in a fast paced environment collaborating with other teams constantly.
You will have the opportunity to progress and grow in your career, learning new skills and expanding on current skills. There are opportunities to complete wide varieties of trainings like PAT testing, IOSH Managing Safely and First Aid. To be successful in this role you will require great customer service skills, a keen eye for detail, sound IT skills and adaptability.
WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING
- Complete planned preventative maintenance and record on CMMS system
- Respond to reactive helpdesk tickets and close within the agreed time frame.
- Identify defects that arise whilst completing PPMs and Reactive works
- Ensure helpdesk calls and general building works are prioritised and proactively managed to ensure minimum downtime, including carrying out work in a safe and effective manner, while complying with Group policies and statutory requirements.
- Undertake rectifications populated from Workplace Inspections, record actions on the Helpdesk.
- Supervise and collaborate with external contractors as required, ensuring all relevant information and work permits are checked, site inductions are completed, and correct paperwork is completed in line with Group Policies and statutory requirements before being handed over to the Premises Administration Team.
- Liaise and work with management on projects to ensure office furniture moves carried out efficiently to minimise business disruptions and costs, keeping storage areas clean and correctly stocked up.
- Support with operational projects on an adhoc basis
- Providing a consistently high level of customer service through Front of House Services in line with business agreed SLAs.
- Ensuring all room services are managed including room set up, daily checks, restocking and fault investigation of rooms and equipment (both IT and non-IT) to support business and customers’ needs, including recording and escalating issues as required.
