Description:
Northvolt has an exciting job opening for an Engineer with experience in the field of Factory planning and Material Flow Automation (e.g., Automatic Storage and Retrieval Systems, Production-Buffers, Robots, AGVs, etc.) for the Drei Factory. By accepting this mission, you will take a key role in shaping Northolt’s Giga Factory in Heide to produce the worlds greenest battery cells. This role offers the opportunity to work on cutting-edge automation and material flow solutions in a dynamic manufacturing environment.

- Fluency in English, German is a plus

Responsibilities:
- Shape the future of material handling in the battery manufacturing environment by interacting with key automation solution suppliers in an international setting.
- Coordinate and execute the detail design and commissioning work of the equipment together with the suppliers and with other Northvolt departments (e.g. Construction, Process, Purchasing, Digitization, Manufacturing).
- Collaborate with the Automation and Controls Team to implement the material flow system design into functions in the WMS/WCS/ MES.
- Create the basic operational standards required to hand-over the engineering project to the manufacturing team.
