SUMMARY

Supervise co-workers engaged in machining, assembly, and material handling processes. Ensure that safety, quality, and productivity are compliant as directed.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES other duties may be assigned.

  • Manage production schedules and work assignments for each co-worker, department, and resource.
  • Manage and direct production support and factory co-workers in their job requirements.
  • Create, implement, and adjust work assignments to co-workers to meet customer and production requirements.
  • Coordinate with material handlers, operators, and production support to ensure materials are handled to meet customer and production requirements.
  • Responsible for overall quality. Examine items produced to determine if items meet specifications.
  • Research problems with equipment and tooling and take corrective action.
  • Collaborate with other departments and individuals to manage the full factory process.
  • Establish and meet annual goals in conjunction with Factory Manager.
  • Compose and send professional written documentation.
  • Administer company policies to co-workers and enforce safety regulations.
  • Explain specifications, blueprints, and job orders to employees.
  • Be present and knowledgeable about co-workers, what they are doing, how they are doing, and help them to be happy, healthy, and productive.
  • Understand and participate in the management of production methods, equipment, tooling and work processes.
  • Document and resolve work hardships and assist co-workers in solving problems.
  • Study and work with co-workers to maximize productivity and improve performance.
  • Coordinate with Factory Manager to verbally present information at shop talk meetings.
  • Support and manage company initiatives and programs.
  • Monitor and administer attendance and other policies.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Associate’s degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year College or technical; or three to five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
