  • € 2,819* gross/month – limited until 30.04.2026 (extension t.b.d.)
    Your Responsibilities

The faculty recruiting & evaluations team is part of the division Academic Affairs and administers the recruitment process for Professors, Assistant Professors, and Staff Scientists. The team also coordinates Topical Reviews and Tenure Evaluations. In addition, the team supports the academic life of staff scientists at ISTA. We are looking for a new colleague to join our team as a leave replacement. Due to the further growth of our institute, there is a realistic chance for extension of the contract.

  • Supporting our team for faculty recruiting and evaluations in all organizational and administrative tasks
  • Assisting with the preparation of dossiers, compilation of documents and general database management
  • Organization of meetings and candidate visits including taking care of travel arrangements and coordinating time schedules with faculty members
  • Being a central point of contact for visitors, guests and evaluation panel members
  • Conducting basic research on relevant topics for faculty recruiting
  • Office management and general administrative tasks

Your Profile

  • Several years of work experience in an assistant position and first experience with coordinating events – additional experience in an academic environment is advantageous
  • Excellent written and interpersonal communication skills in English and a good command of German
  • Profound working knowledge of MS Office, interested in learning and adapting to new software
  • High level of service orientation and proactive attitude
  • Strong organizational skills and accuracy
  • Structured and solution-oriented approach
  • High ability to multitask and prioritize
