Join our Family Assistance Team as a Case Worker. The Case Worker is responsible for completing Intakes and providing supportive services, information and referrals, and general case management services to clients. responsible for maintaining client information in accordance with agency policies and gathering and reporting outcome data in ETO and other data entry systems. Responsible for providing direct services to food pantry clients. The successful candidate will have strong interviewing skills, be able to work with diverse populations in crisis, will demonstrate compassionate and caring service provision and will be comfortable working within the mission and vision of the Catholic Charities agency.
The Expertise We’re Looking For
-

High School Diploma or GED

  • One (1) year of experience working in a social service agency
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish)
  • Valid Texas Driver’s License

You have the ability to respond compassionately to the poor, terminally ill, homeless and crime victims while maintaining appropriate and professional boundaries.

  • You have knowledge of case management and behavior appropriate to professional office settings.
  • You demonstrated knowledge of community resources for the populations served.
  • You have strong Interviewing skills.
  • You have the ability to work with diverse populations in crisis situations.
  • You must be able to practice and maintain client/program confidentiality, while maintaining time function. as a collaborating staff/team player.
  • You have the ability to handle multiple tasks.
  • You have knowledge of Microsoft Office: Word and Excel.

What you Deliver
-

You provide direct client services including, but not limited to, rapport building, client intake and eligibility determination, assessments, individualized appropriate information and referral, advocacy, and case monitoring. Participate in regular team case consultation sessions when appropriate. Assist with orientation and training/management of volunteers and visitors at the Center.

  • You maintain accurate and timely documentation in client database/files in compliance with agency policies and guidelines, including, intake and assessment, case notes and other documents as required by funding sources and agency policy. Ensure the proper security of client records and confidentiality in compliance with agency standards.
  • You assist Supervisor and other program staff with accurate and timely program reporting of outputs and outcomes, reports for funding agencies and ensure data is entered correctly into any and all databases and spreadsheets.
  • You perform other duties such as participating in staff retreats, United Way events, agency fairs and speaking engagements, assisting with special organization projects/events.
  • You collaborate with other social service agencies to coordinate client services.
