The role is fully dedicated to family and carer interventions provision, and the post holder will be taking a lead in structuring the way in which support is offered to the families and loved ones of service users under the care of the service (providing groups and one to one support) and also working with other members of the team who are also trained to deliver family interventions. You will receive supervision from an appropriate qualified Clinical Psychologist, and have access to specialist FIp group-based supervision
Successful applicants will have the opportunity to contribute towards the further development of the service, and to take a leadership role specifically regarding the delivery of family intervention. You will also need to be able to demonstrate effective communication skills, be enthusiastic, self-motivated, flexible and able to work as part of a team.
We recognise that working in mental health can be stressful at times so we prioritise staff welfare; providing regular supervision, reflective practice, mentoring, and any other support that our staff need to ensure their wellbeing.
We also encourage flexible working. We know that a positive work/life balance brings about huge health-related benefits, which has a positive impact on the care we provide. Please speak to us about flexible working, for example, partial home-working, part-time hours, or flexible start/finish times. If it works for you and works for the role, we’ll do our best to make it happen.
Our vision is to provide outstanding care and treatment; the people that we employ are at the heart of making this vision a reality. If you’ve got the passion, the belief, the drive and the talent to help us achieve our vision then we would like to hear from you.
The role will involve delivering family interventions from the three hubs of the West Sussex Enhanced Community Rehabilitation Service; the Western Hub based in Bognor Regis, the Arun, Adur & Worthing Hub based in Worthing and the North West Sussex Hub in Horsham. You can choose any of these bases as your main office base.
We apply a ‘whole-team’ approach to delivering support to those using the service, their loved ones, and each other, including vibrant peer and experts by experience co-production within our multi-disciplinary team.
Our vision is to provide outstanding care and treatment; the people that we employ are at the heart of making this vision a reality. If you’ve got the passion, the belief, the drive and the talent to help us achieve our vision, then we want to hear from you.

In this role you will work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team, to help us provide the opportunity for the residents of West Sussex in line with national agendas of The Getting It Right First Time, a whole system approach to recovery from mental ill health, and maximising an individual’s quality of life and social inclusion
