The role:
We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Fashion Design Assistant to join our internal Design Team! You will be involved in every aspect of our fitting and design process as you work alongside the Design Team. This is an initial 6 month FTC with potential for extension.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

  • Skills in Adobe Illustrator
  • Fashion Qualification is required
  • Strong organisational skills with high attention to detail
  • Strong time management skills and ability to work in a fast past environment
  • Ability to coordinate multiple tasks, be flexible and prioritise workload
  • Friendly, thoughtful, honest and hardworking

Responsibilities:

  • Assisting Designer/product developer with tech packs and new sample development
  • Tech Packs - Adding key specifications, blocks and fabrics to tech packs/hand over docs in consultation with designer/product developer
  • Overseeing the SKU creation and accurate style attribution in WFX by VAs
  • Uploading specs and completing costing, BOM and colourway in WFX
  • Fits - typing fit notes, and updating PLM system after fits
  • Weekly fabric research and sourcing with offshore suppliers
  • Documenting the receipt of new fabrics and ongoing fabric price and composition inquires
  • Keeping fabric room tidy and organised
  • Gathering all fabrics for design and buy meetings
  • Preparing print artwork files, sending to suppliers and commenting on strike offs inline with CP
  • Accurately updating WFX after buy meetings with changes
  • Assist team with administration
  • Liaising with offshore suppliers
  • Assisting other teams with tasks as required
