The Yiros Shop has quickly become one of Queensland’s most favourite Fast Food Restaurants serving traditional Greek Yiros filled with delicious tastes and flavours, snack-boxes, salads and delicious Greek desserts. Our stores have a fun, chilled out atmosphere for our customers and cater for 50/50 eat-in and takeaway.
Our Area Managers are responsible for overseeing a designated area of The Yiros Shop Fast Food Restaurants and ensuring their efficient operation.
This role requires strong leadership skills, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to drive results while maintaining the highest standards of customer service. The Area Manager will work closely with Restaurant Managers and employees, report to the Operation Manager, and play a pivotal role in achieving key performance indicators (KPIs) and business objectives.
The Area Manager is responsible for providing exceptional leadership and management of their designated TYS Fast Food Restaurants. The focus is to continue fostering a collaborative and harmonious workplace whilst reinforcing The Yiros Shop’s values by modelling supportive behaviours in the workplace. Area Managers seek to provide ongoing support and development to the Restaurant Managers to help them effectively managing employees, reach all operational goals and safeguard profitability and brand of The Yiros Shop.
The role is a salaried full-time permanent position working Monday to Friday. A competitive salary pending on experience is $80k per annum + comms is on offer.

Job Description

  • Responsible for designated area restaurant specific sales, main item volume growth and cost control to deliver budget profit alongside monitoring the forecasts
  • Use and analyse business information and reports to develop opportunities to maximise volumes and revenue and inform business decisions
  • Train, develop and motivate Restaurant Leadership teams to be effective leaders with exceptional management skills utilising systems and processes as the subject matter expert
  • Ensure the right leaders are placed in the right restaurant at the right time to ensure a successful leadership team and commercial outcomes for new and existing restaurants
  • Effectively manage and resolve any performance issues aligned to TYS policy and procedures
  • Ensure that TYS experience is brought to life in each restaurant through exceptional operations and shift running
  • Effectively train and assess restaurant leadership to increase capacity and performance
  • Develop annual restaurant plans across your territory setting clear goals and objectives aligned to TYS business and revenue objectives
  • Support in providing a safe and engaging working environment which complies with OH&S, food safety, industrial relations, employment agreement and certified training requirements
  • Proactively manage COGS through each restaurants ability to accurately forecast and control wastage
  • Proactively manage labour costs through restaurant ability to accurately forecast, use of impact data and labour management practices
  • Ensure new restaurants launch successfully by working with key stakeholders including the support office, meeting labour budgets and mystery shop targets

  • Working rights - passport and visa grant for international workers
  • RSA Certificate to be obtained within 30 days of commencing employment
