We are looking to hire a Ferry Operator to join our growing team at the Klondyke Ferry near Barrhead, Alberta.

DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Prior experience as a Ferry Operator or in a similar role is preferred.
• A Class 3 driver’s license preferred, Class 5 license at a minimum.
• Ability to work after-hours if required.
• Good communication skills.

• Be the main point of contact for the public.
• Responsible for loading and unloading vehicles and passenger traffic.
• Operation and maintenance of the ferry.
• Inspect ferry for unusual situations, potential and safety hazards.
• Ensure passenger compliance with regulations.
• Perform docking procedures.
• Conduct vehicle counts and safety equipment check.
• Actively participate in the compliance of the ISO 9001:2015 Quality Assurance System.
