POSIZIONE:

Opto Engineering Germany is currently looking for a Field Application Engineer.
The resource will report hierarchically to the Sales Director and will be coordinated by the Application Engineering Manager.
This role is responsible for supporting customers in the development of their machine vision projects.
Additionally, the resource will work closely with the Sales, R&D and Product Management departments to manage requests and facilitate the sale of component bundles using Opto Engineering’s products.

Responsibilities and Duties:

• Conduct feasibility studies of complete vision systems to solve customer applications, including vision system and image processing software.
• Managing customer projects in collaboration with other departments within the company.
• Provide technical support for Opto Engineering products recommended during feasibility studies, both remotely and on-site.
• Directly interact with customers, particularly through in-person visits across German and Austrian territories.

REQUIREMENTS AND SKILLS:

• Master’s degree in Engineering, Physics or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in developing vision systems, including both hardware and software.
• Driving license.
• Excellent interpersonal skills.
• Strong organizational abilities to manage and complete customer projects.
• Knowledge of programming languages such as C++, C#, or Python is a plus.
• Previous experience with industrial automation systems (IPC, PLC, robot arms, etc.) is highly desirable.
• Willingness to travel for customer visits for 20% of the time.
• Strong problem solving skills.
