As we expand our operations and explore new ventures, we are looking for skilled Field Directors who can take initiative, be proactive, apply professional judgement, and thrive working within a team. The position is a mix of field and office/lab based out our offices in Victoria, Richmond, Kamloops, or Williams Lake.

What you will be accountable for
- Leading archaeological field crews
- Mentor junior staff
- Involvement in all aspects of archaeological field surveys and excavations
- Contributing to and authoring archaeological reports
- Assisting with artifact analysis and curation
- Growing your skills in the field, office, and lab in order to take on more responsibility
Duties associated with this position may vary to meet evolving demands within the company.
What you need to have
- Bachelor’s degree in Archaeology or related studies
- Minimum 3 years experience in consulting archaeology in BC
- Field Director designation from the Archaeology Branch
- Comprehensive understanding of BC Archaeology and the Heritage Conservation Act
- Ability to work in varying terrain and weather conditions
- Excellent report writing skills
- Valid Class 5 Driver’s license with a clean driving record
Physical Aspects of Position (include but are not limited to): Frequent standing and walking/hiking, Frequent bending, and kneeling, Frequent carrying and lifting.
Visa Requirements: Must be legally eligible to work in Canada. Currently, we do not assist in securing Canadian work authorization or visa sponsorship.
