Job Title: Field Engineer
Department: Production Chemicals

Annual Earnings: $65000 to $85000 per year (DOE)

Job Summary Develop an understanding of engineering roles and responsibilities related to downhole chemical treatment and chemical application to assist customers in optimal well performance.
Expectations Expected to learn and develop an understanding for the multiple aspects related to Creedence’s approach to chemical treatment. Self-motivated, organized and effective communicator. Given parameters and capable of working within them under moderate supervision.

Essential Duties – Approximately 30% in office, 70% in field

  • Total commitment to safety and achieving zero incidents
  • Perform daily field operations including chemical monitoring and sample collection
  • Gain an understanding for chemical application methods
  • Build on preexisting knowledge for chemical treatment opportunities
  • Assist lead engineer on investigations of customer complaints
  • Work well independently and as a team
  • Provide excellent customer service
  • Perform onsite failure analysis at workover operations
  • Conduct both onsite and laboratory solids identifications
  • Assist in providing technical support to customers, escalating as required
  • Engage and assist in problem solving by performing systems analysis, data interpretation, and recommendation writing
  • Assist Account Coordinator with start-ups of new applications in both existing and new accounts
  • Perform computer simulations to predict scale and corrosion potential
  • Communicate all findings and recommendations to Lead Engineers, Account Managers, and Field Managers
  • Maintain chemical usage values in correct reporting platform
  • Update KPI results on a routine basis
  • Prepare data summary presentations
  • Identify opportunities for chemical program improvements
  • Other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

Education/Experience: Bachelor’s Degree required - Mechanical, Industrial, Petroleum, or Chemical Engineering preferred.
Certifications/Licenses: None.
Driving Requirements: Valid driver’s license required.
Physical Requirements – Lift, push, pull and carry up to 50 pounds chest high. Must be able to reach, push, pull, and grasp with arms and hands. Will require standing, crouching and/or kneeling, sitting, walking, driving, and transitioning in/out of vehicles. Must be able to talk, hear, and see. Required to have the visual acuity to safely and legally operate motor vehicles.
Work Environment – When in the field, limited exposure to environmental conditions such as extreme winter weather, precipitation and wind. Potential exposure to harmful chemicals, dust, odors, fumes, oil, and gases. Noise level is typically moderate, occasionally loud.
Language Skills – Ability to read, interpret and understand documents such as safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals. English language fluency in reading, writing, and speaking.
Computer Skills – Efficiently navigate a web browser, mobile applications, Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Teams, Word, SharePoint, Access, etc.). Proficiency in designing spreadsheets, creating advanced formulas, charts, and tables required. Must be able to design professional presentations. Experience with Power BI beneficial.
