Morrison Hershfield’s Transportation Division provides planning, design and construction administration services for roadway, highway, transit / rail, bridge and related projects. The Office Administrator will join our Field Services team, conducting field work in the Ottawa area. You will play a lead role in the delivery of construction administration services with the Ministry of Transportation. Due to expanding business opportunities in Ontario and elsewhere within the company, this position offers potential for growth in the areas of technical / professional development and project management.
We are currently looking for an Office Administrator to help support field offices for projects within horizontal infrastructure. This position offers opportunities for growth and work with a dynamic team on interesting projects.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain filing systems
  • Organize deliverables
  • Create weekly progress reports
  • Create regional construction road reports
  • Create monthly summaries of record documents
  • Record weekly site videos
  • Prepare agenda, meeting notes and record meeting minutes
  • Update various document tracking sheets (material samples, material hauling ticket information, etc.)
  • Scan and file various documents
  • Review bill of ladings and certificate analysis for various materials
  • Review forms and update QC/QA comparison tables
  • Order/organize office supplies
  • Download documents from online management system to internal files
  • Organize photos and maintain a photo and video log

Qualifications:

  • Certified by OACETT for the RCJI or RCSI designation an asset
  • Possess the ability to meet deadlines independently and under pressure
  • Familiar with field construction activities
  • Demonstrated office person experience with Contractors or on MTO or municipal projects an asset
