Description:
EDUCATION
- Associate degree in Electronics or Engineering or High School Diploma or GED equivalent with 3 years of experience in analytical instruments
- Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry, or Electromechanical Engineering preferred
- EPA Certification preferred
- Accredited trade school certification- HVAC/R or Electronic Technician preferred
EXPERIENCE
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in field service, Depot repair, manufacturing facilities or equivalent, servicing analytical instruments or laboratory equipment, etc.
- Experience in customer-facing positions preferred.
- Strong electronic/electrical and mechanical background preferred, refrigeration experience a plus
- Experience working with basic test equipment such as DMM, tachometer, and temperature devices, including hands-on refrigeration experience is preferred
- Ability to operate computers, smartphones, and related software efficiently
- Effective interpersonal skills; ability to prioritize multiple priorities with minimal direction
- Ability to work independently diagnosing and solving using schematics, diagrams, service manuals, and other technical resources

Responsibilities:
- Repair, install, and maintain a line of process water analysis instruments, and a variety of laboratory equipment products including incubators, centrifuges, cold storage (refrigerators and freezers), and other equipment as needed
- Schedules and completes detailed preventative maintenance and corrective service to ensure peak uptime of customer equipment
- Provide onsite service training to operators and site personnel
- Submit expenses and manage trunk stock inventory in a timely and accurate manner
- Document daily service actions through the company work order database
- Maintains courteous and knowledgeable communication with customers to ensure alignment of all aspects of the service events (status, cost, scheduling, etc.)
