QUALIFICATIONS - FIELD SERVICE ENGINEER:
- Mechanical/Electrical Field Service Engineer with an electrical bias, ideally, with experience in processing machinery within a food environment.
- Excellent communication skills to interact professionally with individuals at all levels.
- Strong self-management skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently.
- Capability to remain calm under pressure, focusing on achieving objectives.
- Commitment to delivering high-quality work with keen attention to detail.
- Flexibility in working hours, including weekends and travel away from home.
- Proficient in fault finding using engineering drawings, test equipment, and basic understanding of PLC and inverter controls.
- IT literate with proficiency in computer-based systems.
- Full UK driving license.
Responsibilities:
- Provide 1st level phone support for troubleshooting and root cause analysis of reported issues.
- Conduct servicing of equipment spanning live bird handling through to packing, covering mechanical, electrical, and weighing aspects.
- Perform service audits to document equipment reports, identify service requirements, spare parts, and necessary adjustments.
- Manage spare parts sales including quoting and follow-up.
- Plan and execute service initiatives.
- Undertake installation and commissioning tasks.
- Conduct customer training on the operation, cleaning, and maintenance of company equipment.
- Perform pre-delivery inspections (PDI), repairs, and other tasks at company UK head office.
- Ad hoc duties as required.
