Description:

JOB SUMMARY

The position will be located in Singapore. The incumbent is to look after the service and maintenance on Pumps that are used on various industries. He will be required to travel to client location, install new equipment, respond to service requests, troubleshoot equipment issues on Pumps on site. On need basis, he/she may be called upon to support servicing of Valves products.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES

  • Able to analyse and resolve technical problems in a timely manner.
  • Must have good engineering knowledge and experience in pumps and rotating equipment. Knowledge of Valve equipment is added advantage. Able to read and interpret P&IDs of systems.
  • Have good understanding of the engineering standards like ANSI, ISO, API standards.
  • Experienced in basic instrumentation, electrical, hydraulic & pneumatic design.
  • Proficient is MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Adobe Acrobat.
  • This position may travel up to 70% of time.
  • This position may require regional travel within Singapore and various ASEAN countries.
  • Demonstrate prioritization skills and multi-tasking ability to manage demanding tasks in tight time constraints.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrates strong collaborative skills and ability to succeed in a team environment.
  • Customer contact experience, especially related to troubleshooting to resolve customer expectation.
  • Carry out other duties as assigned by the Regional Manager/Commercial Lead

EDUCATION/QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE

  • Minimum - Diploma/ ITE in Mechanical Engineering or similar field and with 3-5 years of related experience in field service / customer service activities.
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills, self-motivated and willing to learn.
  • Able to read and interpret P&I drawings & engineering drawings.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical customer support primarily for Pumps but may be required to support Valves to customers and agents.
  • Onsite service support to customers/ agents for Pumps or Valves in troubleshooting and failure analysis.
  • Conduct routine equipment servicing out in the field.
  • Installation and commissioning of new/ serviced equipment.
  • Communicate with factories on engineering support and analysis.
  • Review through draft service reports to ensure correct sequence in DCI/ As built reports.
  • Submission of reports on a timely manner.
