About you

  • Qualified Mechanical/Electrical/Instrumentation trade OR degree qualified Mechanical, Electrical or Controls Engineer with industry experience.

Some skills you may have:

  • Good technical knowledge of rotating equipment and/or PLC systems.
  • Strong customer focus and customer service skills.
  • Good communication skills with the ability to write clear technical reports.
  • Computer literate (MS Office experience).
  • Gas Turbine, Power Generation and Gas Compression experience.
  • Oil and Gas industry experience.
  • Allen Bradley PLC experience

What you’ll be doing
You’ll be the technical focal point at customer sites across the East Coast of Australia, NZ & PNG.
On site, you may be doing anything from troubleshooting to commissioning projects, service and maintenance inspections to equipment removal and installation of Solar Turbines’ range of turbo-machinery products (Gas Turbines, Compressor Sets, Generator sets).

Of course, you’ll also be responsible for:

  • Ensuring maintenance services and installation support adheres to relevant specifications and standards.
  • Utilising sound judgment when analysing problems, with little to no supervision to solve issues in a timely and cost-effective manner.
  • Performing preventive/corrective maintenance.
  • Assisting in a technical manner with customer operations and maintenance crews.
  • Providing detailed and technical reports to various stakeholders.
  • Ensuring customer expectations are always met or exceeded.
  • Complying with Solar Turbines’ and clients’ HSSE policies and procedures.
