Claxton are currently looking to hire a Field Service Technician on a full time, permanent basis in Singapore. Reporting to the Project & Ops Manager, the Field Service Technician will assist offshore field operations on clients’ vessels, rigs and platforms or any offshore and onshore location. The role is multi-facetted and includes elements of equipment maintenance, equipment preparation, mobilization and operation of equipment at the site, trouble-shooting, demobilization of equipment and operational reporting to Claxton Offshore Supervisor / Project & Ops Manager
The Field Service Technician’s core operational and technical competence lies in surface, subsea, and down-hole cutting techniques. This role requires extensive global travel and periods of offshore work worldwide. Additionally, the Field Service Technician will assist with the day-to-day service, repairs, and testing of Claxton equipment systems and participate in new build projects. Responsibilities include performing planned maintenance and repairs on company-owned equipment such as water abrasive cutting systems, mechanical cutting equipment, pipeline coating removal tools, Hydro Hammer, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, and subsea dredging equipment.
Duties/Responsibilities
- Assist with all offshore execution elements including equipment installation, operations, safety and coordination with stakeholders offshore
- React promptly and effectively to changing client requirement during offshore and onshore under Offshore Supervisor Supervision
- Assist Offshore Supervisor to produce deliverables on-time to customer requirements during offshore and onshore
- Assist performing quality control tasks on equipment and process performance while offshore
- Support Offshore Supervisor on reporting on the offshore status as per IMS requirement. Follow, and adhere to, all applicable project documentation and standards
- Cooperating and communicating with the Offshore Supervisor and Project & Operations Manager together with other offshore participants. Assist with other stakeholders to create more efficient and safe offshore methods
- Assist the equipment rig up, equipment rig down, offshore execution task and initiating the necessary corrective actions
- Assist implementing new offshore procedures when there’s any changes in procedures or specifications as per IMS
- Support Offshore Supervisor to produce clear, focused and understandable explanations for change requests during offshore execution to all stakeholders
- Assist maintenance of equipment while offshore and offshore. Diagnose/repair any faults in both workshop and operational environments in line with Claxton’s technical and safety requirements
Requirements
- Diploma or equivalent - Mechanical, Hydraulic, Engine, High Pressure Pump or Similar
- 5 Years Offshore Oil & Gas Field Service Experience is an advantage
