FIELD SERVICE TECHNICIAN

Location: Carlow
Job Type: Full-time, Rotating Shift Pattern

DESCRIPTION:

We are seeking a Field Service Technician to join our team and promote our brand by providing exceptional customer service to a diverse range of clients, from high street independents to national brands and organizations. The successful candidate will be responsible for responding to reactive and service call requests, ensuring that all coffee equipment is repaired and maintained to the highest standards.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Confident individual with a passion for customer service.
  • Excellent understanding of coffee quality and associated equipment.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with an electrical/mechanical background.
  • Computer literate with a clean driving license.
  • Self-motivated with a flexible approach to work, location, and hours (rotating shift pattern).

Responsibilities:

  • Carry out a broad range of coffee equipment repair and preventative maintenance tasks, including fault finding and diagnosis, to ensure all coffee equipment is left in good working order.
  • Ensure that all work meets the correct equipment setup as per agreed specifications, providing consistent coffee quality and aiming for first-time fixes to achieve customer satisfaction.
  • Work proactively with the central call center, taking day-to-day instructions and keeping them updated to ensure waiting customers are informed.
  • Comply with all on-site arrival procedures, including making contact with a manager/supervisor on-site to introduce yourself and seek permission to commence work on equipment.
  • Adhere to Health and Safety procedures, conducting risk assessments to ensure a safe working environment and reporting any risks to company management.
  • Complete all necessary online job sheets, time sheets, and supporting documentation as required, ensuring they are reviewed and completed prior to leaving premises to validate client satisfaction.
  • Keep all tools, equipment, and vehicles supplied by the company in good working order, reporting any faults, breakages, or equipment failures to your line manager daily.
  • Provide agreed spare parts stocks via handheld unit to ensure that parts are invoiced to the customer, deducted from stock, and replenished to maintain vehicle stock inventory.
