Otraco International is currently seeking a Field Service Technician to be based at our Mt Arthur mine where you will be required to support our project and associated objectives at this site.
About the role

The Mt Arthur operation is our largest site in NSW with around 100 trucks and 16 people across 4 crews. This role will provide a high level of continuous service on site by supporting the operations of the workshop, office, stock and our personnel. The ideal candidate would be able to work with minimum supervision, appreciate their role in delivering customer service, demonstrate a willingness to learn and develop their tyre fitting skills and knowledge. Your duties include:

  • Assist with regular pit and tyre inspections, together with relevant Client personnel, of mine operating areas and conditions.
  • Take advantage, whenever practicable, of windows of opportunity to conduct services.
  • Maintain a high level of quality and service to the Client.
  • Ensure the work area is kept clean and tidy prior to shift changeover and that housekeeping is performed daily for the up-coming shift.
  • Leading by example to ensure all personnel comply with site and company policies, procedures, instructions, and safety.
  • Deliver a high level of tyre management practices to increase mine productivity and tyre life using the following
  • Conduct operator tyre awareness and training

About you

The successful candidate will have significant experience in fitting heavy earthmoving tyres. You will need to demonstrate the following as essential elements to being a successful candidate:

  • A valid and appropriate light vehicle driver’s license (Class C in Australia).
  • Current Work Safe / High Risk Forklift Ticket
  • Certificate II in Automotive (Mechanical - Tyre fitting and repair Heavy).
  • A valid and appropriate heavy vehicle driver’s license (Class MR or HR) would be highly desirable
  • Two years of Earthmover tyre fitting experience also highly desirable
