Description:
Project Overview: IQVIA is seeking individuals for a short-term project involving the upgrade of medical devices located in operating theatres and recovery rooms across hospitals in the Netherlands and Belgium (Flanders). The project will take place in July, August, and possibly September 2024. As a Field Service Technician, you will collaborate with a specialist nurse who is responsible for training healthcare professionals on the impact of the equipment upgrade.
ADDITIONAL SKILLS:
- Confidence in dealing with healthcare professionals working in operating theaters or recovery rooms.
- Familiarity with hospital layouts and navigation.
Qualifications and Experience: You must have one of the following:
- 1-3 years’ experience as a field technician in a clinical (hospital or similar) environment.
- CBEC 1 or 2 certification.
- Military experience in BioMedical Engineering or a related technical field.
- Degree in BioMedical Engineering or higher
Responsibilities:
- Travel to hospitals and meet with your nurse educator colleague for pre-organized upgrades.
- Liaise with relevant hospital departments and key personnel.
- Locate and upgrade medical equipment pieces as required.
- Collaborate with the nursing colleague who will train healthcare professionals.
- Complete necessary compliance administration procedures.
- Spend approximately 4 hours in each hospital (duration may vary based on the number of upgrades per site).
- Travel to other hospitals if nearby or return home if the next hospital is within a commutable distance.
Qualifications and Experience: You must have one of the following:
- 1-3 years’ experience as a field technician in a clinical (hospital or similar) environment.
