Description:
Our client is a global market leading manufacturer and supplier of various components, power units, automation components and systems to cater for the mining and industrial sectors. Due to growth, we’re seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Hydraulic Fitter to join their team in this dual role as a Field Service Technician/Operations.
Within this role you will be based at the Perth branch and will assist with day to day operations, as well as cover a field based territory (50/50 split), to provide clients with consistent and accurate install, commissioning and servicing of their products.
This role is ideal for an individual looking to growth their career towards operations and management.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with day to day operations of the branch including quoting, customer liaison and ensuring jobs are completed within deadline.
- Attend client sites for routine service, maintenance and installation requirements.
- Review daily work orders and plan your day to ensure all jobs are resolved and completed.
- Provide an effective service by identifying system/requirements, ordering and gathering components and parts, completing installation, performing acceptance tests.
- Maintain and develop customer relationships through effective communication, attending to client needs, providing recommendations and maintaining customer confidentiality.
- Follow troubleshooting steps in line with policy and product requirements/manuals.
- Document service and installation actions by completing forms, reports, logs and records.
- Maintain communication with internal sales team and communicate sales and upsell opportunities to ensure customer needs are met.
- Investigates complaints regarding installed equipment. Working with engineering, sales and/or other units to resolve these complaints until the customers is satisfied.
- Prepare service quotations as required.
