Field Services Engineer - Oil & Gas - Drilling

JOB DESCRIPTION:

• Assess detailed technical requirements provided by customers.
• Collaborate with customers to identify key areas for product development and testing aligned with strategic objectives.
• Stay informed about emerging trends and advancements in testing methodologies and practices.
• Create detailed proposals outlining objectives, methodologies, timelines, and resource requirements for product development and testing initiatives.
• Design testing protocols, manage test execution, track progress, and produce comprehensive reports documenting results, insights, and recommendations.
• Apply FEA techniques to evaluate the structural integrity and sealing effectiveness of products.
• Communicate technical concepts, findings, and recommendations effectively through presentations to various stakeholders.
• Participate in the identification, assessment, and mitigation of HSE risks associated with work activities.
• Promote adherence to HSE policies, objectives, and procedures outlined in the HSE management system, and ensure compliance with applicable legal requirements.
• Fulfill supplementary responsibilities as directed and as needed.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or a related field.
• Minimum of 2-3 years of relevant work experience, preferably in the upstream Oil and Gas industry.
• Proficiency in oil & gas drilling operations.
• Strong proficiency in mechanical or structural design and testing.
• Advanced skills in Finite Element Analysis (FEA) for structural and contact analysis.
• Familiarity with low alloy steels, corrosion-resistant alloys, and relevant specifications (e.g., ASTM, API, NACE).
• Demonstrated ability to quickly acquire new skills.
• Experience in effective customer engagement.
