Boeing Global Services is seeking an Experienced Field Supply Chain Specialist to join our team at Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst, New Jersey. This position will focus on providing on-site field supply chain services in support of the C-17 aircraft. The successful candidate will understand the importance of supply chain processes and procedures as this position will focus on working directly with the Air Force and other teammates to coordinate daily activities to enable the C-17 Field Supply Chain team to meet their organizational goals and contractual performance metrics.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):

  • 5+ years of experience in Supply Chain Sourcing, Supplier Management, and Supply Chain Planning
  • 3+ years of warehouse experience in packaging and crating
  • 1+ years of experience working with hazardous materials
  • 1+ years of experience in shipping and receiving (including export control)
  • 1+ years of experience operating powered material handling equipment (forklift, pallet jack, etc.)
  • Experience with Power Point, Excel, Outlook and Word

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (DESIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):

  • An active U.S. Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required. A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active)
  • Prior Supply Chain experience supporting a post-production product
  • 1+ years of experience in analyzing statistical data
  • Ability to work independently
  • Ability to provide on-duty weekend coverage as required
  • Ability to properly communicate written/verbal
    Typical Education/Experience: Typically 6 or more years’ related work experience or relevant military experience. Advanced degree (e.g. Bachelor, Master, etc.) preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities:

  • Assists in analyzing post-production supply chain data to define reorder points and quantities
  • Enter, track, monitor and coordinate customer material and delivery requirements
  • Processes material returned from customers
  • Assists in the analysis of supplier and/or customer data regarding products or services to include repair capabilities, capacity and performance
  • Processes documentation associated with repair items and warranty claims
  • Responsible for the daily activities of the on-site Boeing warehouse functions supporting the C-17 program
  • Required to process repair induction documents for aircraft parts. Also responsible for data entry into automated systems to ensure parts availability
  • Requires the ability to operate and maintain material handling equipment, perform shipping and receiving operations, hazardous materials shipping, traffic management operations, export control, and packaging and crating
  • Coordinate daily tasks with Lead to align priorities for smooth operation of workloads. Applicant will work according to established Boeing and Occupational Safety and Health Agency (OSHA) requirements for warehousing operations. Be proficient in the operation of mechanized and manual materials handling equipment, hand tools and other equipment related to materials storage, control and transportation
  • Ability to observe, count, and maintain stock levels in order to match names, codes, numbers, or sized of items with lists on which these items are shown. Ability to recognize poor or unacceptable quality of parts prior to shipment. Coordinate with various departments to expedite and complete movement of material and parts to required locations
  • Exercise innovative problem solving skills
  • Provide status and updates to the Air Force customer, McGuire Base Manager, and on-site Team Leader as required
