REQUIRED SKILLS

  • Trade Qualification in Electrical & Instrumentation (E&I) Tech or equivalent
  • Proven Experience in Maintaining Electrical / Technical Systems
  • Strong Diagnostic skills and the ability to trouble shoot issues efficiently.
  • Commitment to safety protocols and regulations
  • Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Flexibility to work on different mine sites and different Projects.
  • High level of attention to detail and a strong work ethic
  • Accurate Part and stock level management
  • Collaborate with all levels of support for any Support issues.
  • Accurately record work performed in our Zendesk Ticketing system.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and contribute to a culture of safety excellence.
  • Actively participate in training and skill development programs.

DESIRED SKILLS

  • Previous relevant experience installing equipment in heavy machinery.

Responsibilities:

JOB PURPOSE

Are you a skilled Electrical & Instrumentation (E&I) Tech with a Passion for Technology looking for a new and exciting opportunity in the mining industry?
We are seeking a highly motivated and energetic Electrician who can Service and Support our current Customers in the Central Queensland region, providing on-the-job technical assistance including Installation, fault finding and repairs of all Dispatch, Argus, Provision, Pegasys, Minecare and Digital Terrain Monitoring (DTM) systems.
This position is full-time based in Emerald. Relocation assistance is available for applicants willing and able to relocate to the area from within Australia.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Delivering timely, safe, effective and efficient resolution of field-based support issues assigned by the Field Services Supervisor or Regional Support group.
  • Assisting the project management team in the installation and commissioning of products as required.
  • Assisting with upgrading and improvements of products as they occur.
  • Identifying and engaging in root cause analysis activities to reduce the likelihood and consequences of common product issues.
  • Performing timely calibrations as required and maintain records of these activities.
  • Maintaining the appropriate tools an inventory to complete repair and replacement activities.
  • Assist with product user training.
  • Collaborates and communicates across business units within Modular to achieve goals and objectives.
  • Complies with corporate Field and Deployment processes.
  • Effective, efficient and accurate use of business systems including but not limited to SharePoint, Corporate Traveller, expense reporting, Zendesk support portal and Harvest.
  • Maintain compliance to all legislative, Modular and customer site policies, rules, and requirements.

To succeed in this role, you will have:

  • Ability to analyse, troubleshoot and resolve issues as they arise.
  • Ability to work autonomously and at times on remote mine sites.
  • Have strong client relationship building skills.
  • Be willing to travel on a regular basis, throughout Australasia as required.
  • Work as part of a team fostering a positive “can do” culture with a willingness to assist other orginisational departments
