Description:

REQUIRED SKILLS

  • White card
  • Ability to drive a minimum of a MR registered heavy vehicle with manual gearbox
  • Minimum 2yrs Pit and pipe / civil comms experience
  • Ability to work nights, weekends and work away from home
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal;
  • Excavator operating tickets;
  • Strong knowledge of the civil communications construction field;
  • Ability to problem solve and make decision;
  • Work confidently unattended;
  • Ability to work with phone based Apps; and
  • Time Management skills.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION

  • Valid MR driver’s licence with a manual gearbox
  • Minimum 2 years experience in similar role

Responsibilities:

RESPONSIBLE FOR:

The day to day management of a team and a project as required. Ensuring the highest level of customer service and support is offered to all SC Comms & Utilities clients and team members.

OVERALL DUTIES

The day-to-day management of a team and a project as required.

  • The day-to-day management of the site team, including (but not limited to) safe site set-up, administrative work, all required paperwork, workplace safety, material handling / procurement and work planning.
  • Building relationships with clients, sub-contractors and team members;
  • Assist with general labouring duties both onsite and in the depot as directed by the Field Supervisor, Project Manager.
  • Vehicle and machinery operating and upkeep;
  • Quality assurance;
  • Abide by and uphold all SCC&U WHS&E requirements as well as any other onsite WHS&E requirements of the principle contractor
  • Participate in all meetings / tool box talks as directed by Team Leader, Field Supervisor, Project Manager;
  • Hold toolbox meetings with your direct team as directed upon you by your Field Supervisor.
  • Additional tasks as direct by management.
