Description:

THE OPPORTUNITY:

Utilise your Advanced Sustainable Nutrient Management certification and environmental or dairy farm background in this new Dairy Farm Auditor role.
Visit customers farms in the Canterbury region to conduct audits and assessments for assurance programmes. The purpose of these audits is to help customers ensure excellence in environmental outcomes, animal health & wellbeing, infrastructure, and staff management.
Reporting to the Area Manager of Farm Systems Auditing, you will be part of a team of 12 and often work in pairs to visit customers farms to complete audits and provide similar livestock services.
This is a full-time permanent position that will involve working minimum 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday. Start times will vary depending on timing of scheduled audits with dairy farms.

KEY REQUIREMENTS:

  • Have an Advanced Sustainable Nutrient Management certification from Massey University.
  • Be well organised, have excellent customer service and strong relationship building skills, as the Dairy companies and farmers are clients paying for your service.
  • Ability to do occasional domestic travel and have a clean and current NZ driver’s licence.
  • It’s important that you are comfortable being on farms near livestock / large animals.
  • Flexible with your work hours adapting to match when audits are scheduled to take place.

Responsibilities:

  • Complete 3-4 audits per week. Each onsite audit can take on average 6 hours to conduct.
  • Maintain a positive relationship with farming customers while also holding them accountable to the rules and regulations.
  • Collaborate with team members and other stakeholders in the business to learn and share knowledge in a way that will help maintain a culture of continuous improvement and excellence in service delivery.
  • Actively participate in on the job learning and adapting to new or updated regulations and programmes.
