Due to unprecedented growth in the region, we have a new opportunity for an experienced Safety Advisor to join our remote portfolio in the Moranbah/Dysart region in Central Queensland. Working a FIFO 8:6 roster, you will support 4 villages covering a contract including cleaning, catering, grounds/maintenance and security.

The Position

  • Supporting the implementation and continual improvement of our HSE and Quality management systems
  • Providing specialist HSE advice and support to our operational teams
  • Supporting the operational team with compliance with legal requirements
  • Driving regular and sustainable improvement in our HSE performance
  • Conducting regular safety interactions
  • Undertaking incident investigations, developing meaningful corrective actions and monitoring their implementation and effectiveness
  • Undertaking HSE monitoring and compliance activities
  • Assisting with the contract HSE Reporting

The Person

  • Experience in Safety Advisory positions, having held responsibility for delivering overall HSEQ support
  • Strong and decisive safety leadership skills with ability to engage stakeholders
  • Experience in managing multiple stakeholder relationships, effectively bringing people along the site safety journey
  • Highly developed skills in communication, presentations and reporting
  • Certificate IV in WH&S
  • Experience in HACCP and food safety management favourable
