Description:

Do you enjoy finalizing the assembly of trucks and heavy equipment
Do you have experience working with steel and aluminum
Do you know assembling 12-volt electrical system and hydraulic system in automobiles
Do you have the mechanical and electrical assembly experience for the automobile’s parts
Are you comfotable with morning shift starting at 6am- 5am
Do you have your own tools for assembling - would be an asset

Our client, a respected manufacturer of truck bodies and equipment, is looking for a quality mechanical assembler in Milton.

Job Description

  • Read blue prints and drawings as well as reading or taking measurements to plan layout
  • Assemble truck bodies and parts following paint job
  • Wire the 12-volt electrical system
  • Install the hydraulic system (PTO, pumps, compressors…)
  • Testing assembled products before finished
  • Maintain clean warehouse and working space
  • Ensuring safety, compliance and quality control standards
  • Perform any other similar duties

Job Type : Full Time ( Temp to Perm- after 6 month)
Salary: $25.00-$26.00 per hour (based on your exp)

Shift

  • Afternoon Shift start 3:00pm- 2:30am ( M-Thu)
  • Morning Shift - 6:30am- 3:00pm (M-F)

Skills

  • Exceptional attention to detail, with a strong focus on safety
  • Knowledge of welding symbols and ability to read and understand technical documents
  • Experience in using electrical or manual tools.
  • Experience with hydraulic System
  • Operate air powered hand tools ( screw guns, ratchets, drills etc.)
  • Ability to read and interpret technical documents and drawings.
  • Agile, dexterous and physically able to lift up to 50lbs

Experience & Education

  • Certification or relevant experience
  • Experience with blue print reading preferred
  • Experience in both steel and aluminum an asset

EXPERIENCE:

  • Mechanical assembling: 2 years (required)
  • Electrical wiring: 1 year (required)
