Description:

We are looking for a hands-on and action-oriented self-starter Finance Manager to pioneer the finance function here in Singapore.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s Degree in accounting with professional qualifications (e.g. ACCA, CPA or equivalent), possesses good understanding of SFRS/IFRS
  • At least 8 years of relevant working experience
  • Retail / Ecommerce / B2C commercial experience in a private firm is a strong plus
  • Excellent communication skills, both orally and written; strong team player
  • Tech savvy with prior experience in driving / managing any ERP implementations would be advantageous

Responsibilities:

Your primary responsibility will be to ensure the accurate and timely reporting of consolidated financial reports. You will drive accounting discussions across the group, oversee general ledger activities for various entities, act as the focal point for all audit requirements, support various accounting operations, streamline systems, liaise with external parties, establish policies in line with reporting standards, and undertake special assignments as needed. This role requires a high level of commitment, understanding, empathy towards team members, working very closely with key stakeholders while maintaining a strong focus on achieving business objectives.

  • Review and ensure the accuracy and timeliness of monthly and quarterly consolidated financial reports for internal and external reporting in accordance with applicable accounting standards.
  • Manage full spectrum of accounting functions including month end/year end close activities and analysis, consolidation and tax & statutory reporting, ensuring the overall accuracy, timeliness, completeness and compliance of the financial information
  • Drive accounting and technical discussions across the group including preparation of accounting memos, accounting standards interpretation and application.
  • Provide leadership and management of regional finance functions and processes. This includes countries like UK, Germany
  • Oversee the general ledger and month-end closing activities for a portfolio of entities, including analysis of the financial performance of the entities.
  • Act as the focal point of all internal and external audit requirements including statutory audit, and group reporting requirements.
  • Support accounting operations including AP/AR, taxation, etc
  • Streamline and improve accounting systems and operations by partnering with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Liaise with external parties such as auditors, tax agents, company secretaries, bankers and other statutory bodies/authorities.
  • Establish and update accounting policies in accordance with reporting standards and requirements for compliance and standardisation across regions.
  • Oversee the implementation of new finance system
  • Undertake special assignment, ad hoc assignment & related duties as and when necessary.
