THE ROLE:

We are currently seeking a Group Financial Assistant to join our Group Finance Department. This role will provide day-to-day support to the DCC Vital Group Financial Controller (FC) and Group Financial Director (FD), and to other areas of the Finance department as required by the needs of the business. This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate effectively with team members at all levels.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES:

Reporting to the Group FC, the Group Financial Assistant responsibilities will include:

• Assist with the preparation of the monthly Management Accounts including Reporting Packs.
• Responsibility for preparing the monthly management accounts and annual statutory accounts for the non-trading entities.
• Completion of quarterly Carbon Reporting returns.
• Serve as the primary point of contact and administrator / superuser for the Group’s credit card software system.
• Provide training and support to employees on how to use the credit card software, and liaise with vendor for resolution when needed.
• Support internal and external audits by providing documentation and assisting with audit queries.
• Participation in various finance projects on an ad hoc basis.
• Perform other ad hoc duties as assigned by the Group FC or Group FD.
