The Daniels Corporation is actively searching for a Finance Administrator to join the Finance team in the Toronto office. Reporting to the Chief Finance Officer, the Finance Administrator will be responsible for a variety of administrative duties and will assist with managing the day-to-day finance operations. The ideal candidate will be highly organized, detail oriented, and be familiar with basic accounting principles.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Knowledge of basic bookkeeping and financial transactions
- Experience with Microsoft Excel and Word
- Attention to detail
- Organizational and multitasking abilities
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Yardi and Newstar experience an asset

Responsibilities:
- Prepare bank/cash reconciliations and monthly reports
- Prepare cheque requisitions and process cheques
- Obtain signatures for cheques and legal documents
- Distribute month end cash calls
- Cheque release and cheque deposit
- Follow up on outstanding cash call payments.
- Project sheets updates
- File HST returns
- Prepare and distribute monthly invoices
- Assist with the yearly subscription process
- T5 and T5013 distribution
- Consolidate Yardi reports
- Audit schedules and assist in auditor inquiries
- AML Mortgage Loan Information Statement
- Other Excel and Word schedules: Presale Mortgage and Financial Approval, Corporate
- Structure, Litigation etc.
- General administrative duties: maintaining filing systems, banking, scanning, photocopying, scheduling meetings, and arranging couriers
- Assist with ad-hoc projects or analysis as required
