Overview:
This role is a 6 month Fixed Term Contract. You must live within 30 minutes of Peterborough to be considered for this position.
An opportunity has arisen within the Finance Department to for individuals to join the Settlement Operations team and will report in directly to the Settlement Operations Manager. The successful candidate will provide support and cover for the daily processes and reconciliations relating to a number of our overseas BIN Sponsors whilst working closely with a range of both internal and external stakeholders.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Calculate and deliver accurate daily creditor payments within tight deadlines
  • Perform daily journals to enable daily reconciliations and investigate any differences
  • Use initiative to proactively identify issues which could impact on cash movement and manage any impact this may have with the client
  • Responsible for the delivery of accurate and timely reports and reconciliations to clients in a professional manner
  • Responsibility for the production of month end balance sheet reconciliations
  • Assist with the weekly and monthly routine activities as required

  • Very good excel skills
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to establish, develop and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external customers
  • Able to work under pressure and to tight deadlines
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Appreciation of basic accounting principles
  • Must demonstrate attention to detail
  • Must be able to demonstrate they can use their initiative
  • Must be tenacious when investigating and resolving accounting queries
