In 2022, we announced our ambition to significantly reduce carbon emissions across our distilling operations at Midleton Distillery in addition to our plans to invest in a new distillery on a site adjacent to our existing operations in Midleton.
We employ over 800 people across our operations in Cork and Dublin.

About the role:
As the Operations Finance Analyst, you will support the Finance Manager in optimising how the finance team supports the wider business. Identify trends, opportunities, and risks to support decision-making and develop strategies for improvement. Liaising closely with Senior Stakeholders in the business ranging from site leaders to operations leaders to CFO. The ideal candidate is ambitious, commercially focused and can deliver strategic financial information to both finance and non-finance professionals.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the timely and accurate completion of the month-end financial reporting process.
  • Collaborate with Peer & Junior finance team members, providing guidance, assistance and support.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices.
  • Collaborate with senior management to develop strategic financial goals and objectives for bulk contract sales and feeds recovery.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulations and standards.
  • Implement and maintain internal controls to mitigate financial risk.
  • Buy into the site Health & Safety culture and speak up when you see an area for improvement.
  • Develop annual and monthly financial budgets, along with cash flow projections.
  • Periodically prepare Rolling forecasts for P&L business units and projected closing positions for Working capital areas
  • Maintain the General Ledger, including postings, journals, and reconciliations.
  • Prepare accurate and timely financial reports, dashboards, and presentations for business leaders and other stakeholders.
  • Communicate financial performance, key metrics, and insights in a clear and concise manner.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to the senior management team, providing financial guidance and support.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline and improve financial reporting and business intelligence.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience

  • ACCA/ACA/CIMA qualified professional with over 3 years PQE ideally working within a dynamic business.
  • Have excellent communication skills where you can demonstrate times you positively influenced commercial/strategic decisions.
  • Experience in commercial analysis, stakeholder engagement, influencing non finance stakeholders.
  • Possess strong financial modelling and P&L experience.
  • A curious and innovative mindset, with the ability to see beyond the numbers to facilitate business decisions.
  • Hardworking, committed, and proactive approach to problem solving.
  • Experience building a standard cost budget is desirable.
  • Experience working with SAP and PowerBI is desirable.
