Description:
The junior finance analyst will assist senior financial professionals with financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and other financial activities. This position offers an opportunity for career growth and development in the finance field.
What you’ll be doing…
- Assist in financial analysis: support senior finance analysts in conducting financial analysis, including variance analysis, profitability analysis, and trend analysis, to provide insights and recommendations to the management team.
- Budgeting and forecasting: collaborate with the finance team to prepare budgets and forecasts, ensuring accuracy and completeness of data. Help in monitoring actual performance against budgets and forecasts, identifying any deviations and providing analysis.
- Data management: help the senior finance analyst in charge of sales to gather, follow and summarize any information we have with related parties (ex: contracts with agencies and specialists)
- Financial reporting: assist in the preparation of periodic financial reports, presentations, and dashboards for management and other stakeholders.
- Financial system support: collaborate with the finance team to maintain and enhance financial systems and tools (ex: PowerBi).
- Ad hoc projects: contribute to various ad hoc financial projects, such as, benchmarking analysis (for budget purposes) or process improvement initiatives, as assigned by senior team members.
A little bit about you…
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Strong analytical skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Proficient in financial modeling, data analysis, and Microsoft Excel.
- Knowledge of financial reporting standards and principles.
- Familiarity with budgeting and forecasting processes.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks.
- Knowledge of financial systems and tools (e.g., ERP systems, financial planning software as SAP, Hyperion or Business Objects) is a plus.
- Ambitious, proactive and able to use own initiative.
- Flexible approach and good organization skills.
- Previous work experience in finance or accounting is desirable.
