We have an exciting opportunity for a full-time Finance Analyst to join our Finance team in Langley, BC.
Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will possess a strong background in accounting, including preparing journal entries and account reconciliations, analyzing financial data, interpreting trends, and providing insights to support strategic decision-making.
You will be responsible for:
- Coordinating large Excel-based datasets to analyze and identify trends, patterns, and metrics.
- Preparing balance sheet reconciliations and supporting schedules.
- Ensuring financial statements are complete and accurate. Preparing journal entries as required and resolving any related issues.
- Researching and commenting on financial statement variances (period, quarter, and/or annual basis). Identifying abnormalities or trends that may exist.
- Assisting finance operations departments with identification and resolution of business issues, measurement of performance and preparation of budgets.
- Documenting and evaluating the effectiveness of business processes and controls.
- Assessing opportunities for business or system process improvements/efficiencies.
- Assisting with special projects and ad hoc analysis as required.
You have:
- At a minimum, attained a senior level towards completion of CPA designation, or newly qualified CPA/CGA/CMA.
- 3 – 5 years of financial accounting or auditing experience, ideally within a retail environment.
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including shortcuts and formulas for efficient processing of and finding connections in large datasets.
- Database knowledge and query development are considered an asset.
- Previous full-cycle accounting experience is considered an asset.

This position is based at the Pattison Food Group office in Langley, B.C. While we’re currently operating with a hybrid work-from-home and in-office schedule, we look forward to the day when we are all able to work together in the office again.
