Description:
JOB RELATED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (COMPETENCIES):
- Prior Academic Health Center or relevant financial specific experience performing analysis related to operational improvements and business cases.
- Proficient with use of PC including database and spreadsheet applications.
- Proficient with spreadsheet skills, including simple functions, formulas, and formatting.
- Experience with relational databases.
- Understanding of financial reporting concepts such as cost accounting and net present value analysis.
- Communication and interpersonal skills including the ability to consult with internal and external customers regarding matters/issues which may be sensitive in nature.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Prior Academic Health Center or relevant financial specific experience performing analysis related to operational improvements and business cases.

The KCVI administrative environment can be busy with many possible interruptions, multiple demands and constant interactions with people.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for accounting transactions and maintenance activities including Journal Entries, Disbursements, as well as requesting Aliases, Provider Codes, and MG Numbers.
- Creates invoices, reconciles receivables and follows up on payment.
- Identifies funding accounts for accounts payable across Missions and account types.
- Organization and maintenance financial transaction records and reports in the Finance shared drive.
- Supply and equipment procurement support
- Complete special projects as assigned. This will include a variety of assignments using current and historical data. Also, cross train and work with other administrative personnel
