Finance and Accounting Business Consultant
Position Description

Candidate will join a dynamic business consulting team supporting the planning and executing a significant Momentum upgrade. Candidate will support stakeholders from Finance and Accounting business office of a large client in the areas of business analysis, impact assessment, gap-analysis, change management and training. This is a great opportunity to expand your skillset in areas such as project management, client management, and business consulting supporting an agency-wide financial and procurement system.
The position is located in Fairfax, VA at the CGI office, but hybrid work from home, office, or client site in Washington, DC is acceptable.

Your future duties and responsibilities

  • Develop your knowledge of our client’s industry, organization, and business objectives. Review the business office’s current system and business processes.
  • Analyze changes between existing and target Momentum releases to determine business areas where the upgrade will have the biggest impact.
  • Gather and analyze business requirements for target Momentum upgrade, liaising with the business office to help them understand the potential impact of the upgrade on their processes, workflows, and data.
  • Provide dedicated subject matter expert support, including answering questions from the business office and helping them troubleshoot any problems they may encounter. Manage the expectations of the business throughout.
  • Work with the business office and members of the team to develop change management and communication plans to keep stakeholders informed
  • Support the business office’s risk management processes and procedures, identifying and mitigating any potential risks
  • Develop and maintain a knowledge base or FAQ document that answers common questions about the upgrade and provides resources for users
  • Participate in and lead client stakeholder meetings
  • Facilitate workshops and training sessions, effectively communicating the benefits and impact of the upgrade to end users
  • Support testing activities including developing test cases and executing testing
  • Proactively bring issues and problems to the attention of the team; generating, proposing, and implementing innovative solutions to solve them.
  • Ensure the end-to-end solution is proven to deliver the required business results. Drive adoption of the designed processes and solution use with stakeholders.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role

  • 3+ years of experience supporting Momentum ERP
  • Strong federal accounting knowledge and experience
  • Trust fund accounting knowledge

The determination of this range includes various factors not limited to: skill set level; experience and training; and licensure and certifications. CGI typically does not hire individuals at or near the top of the range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $84,000 - $161,600.
