Responsibilities:

THE ROLE

Imperial Brands is an inclusive, innovative global FMCG business supported by 25,000 employees who are looking for a Finance and Risk Manager to support the Pension Fund for Imperial Brands.
The Finance and Risk Manager - Pensions, will be part of a small team reporting to the Head of UK Pensions, working collaboratively with the Financial Controller, providing support to the Trustees.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Producing quarterly Fund reporting pack including commentary, high level analysis and supplementary schedules
  • Producing reconciliations with analysis to support the integrity of the quarterly accounts and identify and develop improvements to the reporting process ensuring compliance.
  • Developing and maintaining accounting and other policies covering cash management, investment and loan reporting and ensure they operate effectively and seek to improve the functions
  • Have oversight of the internal controls operated by the Pension Fund Office and other key third party service providers, documenting the control objectives to manage the risks.
  • Develop a programme to ensure that the evaluation of the operation of the internal controls are effective and assess the controls against the Pensions Regulator’s single code - identify areas for requiring enhancement and improvement.
  • Manage the ongoing development of Pension Fund Office’s Business Continuity Planning (BCP) processes, procedures and systems
