What your future looks like at Accountor

As the Finance Application Manager, you will play a pivotal role in creating and implementing a cohesive IT capability that supports our finance and control function across all operating countries (currently Finland and Sweden). You will lead the development and optimization of finance and reporting systems, ensuring alignment with business strategy and operational priorities. By owning the management process of our finance related applications (such as D365FO), you will oversee the entire software lifecycle within the company, driving projects forward with a commitment to quality, timeliness, and budget adherence. Your role will include:

  • Serve as the senior interface between the finance and control function, business and IT vendors, facilitating effective communication and collaboration.
  • Negotiate service level agreements and monitor service delivery to ensure targets and standards are met.
  • Lead the implementation, maintenance, and retirement of applications as part of the IT team, demonstrating strong change management skills.
  • Manage the D365FO and the whole finance application portfolio capex/opex budget and maintain a robust rolling 3-year capex forecast.
  • Develop competencies in Finance and Reporting IT through training programs and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Develop and implement an IT roadmap to enhance the finance function’s utilization of modern technology. Identify business opportunities for new applications by analyzing workflows and driving process automation and digitalization.

Most of the team is located at our headquarters in Espoo, Tampere and Turku, but we also have locations in Oulu, Jyväskylä, and Stockholm, and we work with a flexible hybrid model.

With these skills you are one step ahead

  • Minimum of 5 years of work experience in software development, with 5 years of experience leading complex IT development changes/projects in the finance area.
  • Expertise in finance, control, and auditing processes, with practical hands-on experience in IT development, solution design, maintenance processes and vendor management.
  • Strong understanding of IT project management, troubleshooting, and database management.
  • Ability to communicate technical concepts to non-IT audiences and build strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Experience in business process automation, digitalization, and advanced data analytics (e.g., Big Data, Machine Learning) is highly desirable.
  • Excellent analytical skills, ability to meet objectives, and lead multiple projects under strict timelines.
  • Demonstrated ability to interact and influence all levels of business partners and customers with integrity and professionalism.
  • Fluent skills in English
