Responsibilities:

ROLE INTENTION:

We are seeking a Part-Time Finance Assistant based in our Alexandria Head office for 3 days a week. This role is newly introduced to our team and will be largely responsible for cross-functional support in various areas of accounting and business administration.
The ideal candidate will have experience in a similar role or currently studying to pursue a career in accounting. They will support the finance team with administration with the ability to adapt their communication style to ensure departments and team members are well informed.
This role will work closely with all internal departments of the by charlotte team and report to the accountant.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Processing of invoices ensuring expenditure is accurately recorded in the general ledger in a timely manner.
  • Recording of payments received and problem-solving debtor queries.
  • Ensuring all expenditure in the business is accurately coded in the general ledger in a timely manner.
  • Processing of staff expenses and managing expense receipts.
  • Business expenditure is appropriately substantiated as required for statutory and taxation purposes.
  • Complete bank reconciliations.
  • Complete regular account reconciliations including daily sales.
  • Support with the month end accounting close process and reporting.
  • Contribute to process and controls improvements.
  • Assisting with tax and payroll compliance requirements.
