Job Description

  • Ensure the purchase order processing & purchase ledger functions are complete and up to date, including posting purchase invoices, resolving supplier queries and reconciling supplier statements
  • Create supplier payments using online banking for review and approval
  • Ownership of bank, credit card and Stripe account reconciliations within Xero accounts package
  • Interact with other finance colleagues (in the UK and overseas) and build relationships with other departments
  • Prepare and post journals eg, prepayments, accruals and month end journals
  • Main fixed assets register
  • Assist in the preparation of monthly management accounts for group reporting
  • Investigate material cost variances
  • Review inventory quantities periodically and perform internal audit procedures
  • Ad hoc tasks relating to cost management and budgetary controls

Qualifications

  • AAT or equivalent qualification would be preferred
  • Previous experience & good working knowledge of accounting routines
  • Good knowledge & use Microsoft Office products
  • Experience of Xero accounting software is desirable but not essential
